ESPN PARTNERSHIP
To celebrate Old Dominion Freight Line as the leader in premium LTL carriers and the official freight partner to 44 powerhouse college sports programs we leaned in hard on the insight that the best team in the game takes every single person doing their jobs right, no matter how small.
Enlisting the help of our college mascots and Rece Davis, we brought this idea to life in a playful way for OD’s ESPN partnership. Beyond the hero spot, we developed a series of hard-hitting vignettes that showcase the specifics of what makes OD the best in the game. We also further celebrated OD’s achievements with a full page ad in the Wall Street Journal.
My Role
If you haven’t had the chance to hang out with bunch of mascots, I highly recommend it. This was a fun one. As one of our regular clients, my partner and I ran this campaign from concept through production to get the most out of the ESPN partnership. We started with the initial ask of one 30 second spot and were able to sell in 10 additional vignettes to run alongside the hero campaign resulting in unexpected work for the category.
